Schon bissl älter, HD auf Youtube lohnt sich…

In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto and convinced him to do an interview. 38 years later, Levitan, director Josh Raskin and illustrator James Braithwaite have collaborated to create an animated short film using the original interview recording as the soundtrack. A spellbinding vessel for Lennon’s boundless wit and timeless message, I Met the Walrus was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Animated Short.

Mein erster Timeleapse versuch. Auch gleich mit lustigen Problemen wegen der Kamera (batterie leer) und kurze Zeit später hab ich dann noch bemerkt das ich zu wenig Klebeband hab. Leider lässt dieses Zeug die ganze Zeit ab, ich wolle Klebeband nehmen das nicht zu stark klebt, naja Isolierband klebt dann wohl ein bißchen zu wenig….
Besser und billiger nen haufen Poster oder Bilder. Hat mich 3€ kostet, dafür wirds wohl auch nicht ewig bleiben

Zugegeben man muss etwas Zeit mitbringen für die Blinkenlights Symphony aber es lohnt sich doch sehr, denn was die Jungs da gezaubert haben ist schon um einiges komplexer als die Installation damals in Berlin:

“After a long break, Project Blinkenlights is coming back big time in Toronto, Canada this year. Targeting the landmark building of Toronto City Hall, the group is participating in this year’s Nuit Blanche all-night art event on October 4th, 2008. The installation’s name “Stereoscope” reflects the special nature of the building with its two curved, opposing facades effectively creating a three-dimensional appearance.” From blinkenlights.net/stereoscope

Da die Jungs von Blinkenlights schon immer etwas lustig drauf waren darf natürlich auch zu diesem Projekt massenweise Zusatzmaterial nicht fehlen. Es gibt wieder ein Tool mit dem man selber Blinkenlights bauen kann, zusätzlich noch Fact Sheets und eine Processing Library. Leider ist die Aktion schon vorbei und das einreichen von eigenen Arbeiten so etwas sinnlos…
